I can hear the birds that are singing far away as if they were close by.
The stone monument was significant before man existed.
Feeling a connection in Chaco Canyon, I let the energy take over my body as I played the drum.
It then becomes music making with the echoes of the canyon.
I play the flute and the native feeling inside me repeats the melody over and over.
When I get a hold of myself I suddenly realize that I am standing in the sunset.
And by the time I hit the road back to the camp, I am in a world of stars.
After returning to the studio in Tokyo, I notice that when we close our eyes, we are tuning into Chaco.
From Chaco to the process of making this album is my Chaco journey.
When I returned from this trip there was a spirit of the horizon within my inner landscape.
