He makes music space seeking his own harmony, charmed by the tone and rhythm of the instruments which were fostered by various climate.

It's like drawing a picture melting seven colors.

Looking at the landscape we think now...
many trips to the secret land is the beginning of a journey to the inside world, search for new myth of the planet where we live and draw.

Hideaki MASAGO
He is very active in creating his own music and performing playing instruments he came across during his trips in many native cultures in the world, he is also active in visual art.
Born July 12 1952 in Tokyo.
Started his musical activity since 1988 centering native instruments.
Established AWA Label in 1991. Produced "Shio-no-michi", "Shio-no-michi vol.2", "Island of Bows".
Impressed deeply by trips to Chaco Canyon and place in South West America. Since then repeat trips to sacred land in American Indian every year.
Release solo album "Chaco Journey" in 1995. Opened one-man exhibition "Tama-uta" which expressed the impression of Indian land.
Made CD-ROM "Sounds from the Planet", "Amazing Blue" co-performed with a pianist Won Win Tuan.
Active in live performances centering Indian flute, artistic activities through paintings and sounds conveying warm and beautiful waves of feeling.
